About Kodava's

The Kodavas are the dominant community of Kodagu. Kodava oral traditions are very rich, some of the traditional folk songs have been compiled into the Pattole Palome. The Kodavas revere ancestors, arms and cattle and worship a number of deities, besides the River Kaveri, some of them being Igguthappa, Bhagwathi, Muthappa, Mahadeva, Bhadrakali, Subramani and Ayyappa.

Our stay at Tapasya Homestay in Coorg was nothing short of magical. Tucked away in a serene valley amidst lush coffee plantations, this place offered a truly peaceful and quaint experience. The highlight was the stream just outside our room, which made the setting feel like a dream.
The homestay has a beautiful pool with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. During our visit, the coffee plants were in full bloom, filling the air with the soothing aroma of coffee flowers—an unforgettable experience.

One of the most beautiful homestays you can find in Coorg, admits of Coffee plantation.
We were a group of 28 people (including kids) and had travelled from Pune. I had booked this property in advance and since day 1 of my interaction with Mr. Tony, things were absolutely smooth and hassle free.
He has been such a kind gentleman addressing all my doubts and queries that had an automatic trust in him that things will just be perfect for us.
Our group had 10 kids, and this property was most enjoyed by them. As this is a pet friendly place, Tapasya has got some 3-4 pet dogs which are too cute and super friendly with all guests (trained them that way).
The food was great, astounding cottages and rooms, and the view here is breathtaking. You are definitely going to fall in love with this space.
Only the last 500meters to the property is off road hence, if travelling in big groups, pls mention the same to them, and they will do the necessary arrangements.
I highly recommend this place and we are absolutely going back here for sure.
